  53.  
  54.         This file explains how to install and uninstall POWERdraft
  55.         for AutoCAD 2000.
  56.  
  57. 1.1     How to determine the driver's version number
  58.  
  59.         There are several ways to get the version number of this driver.
  60.  
  61. 1.1.1   Using the File Manager or Explorer
  62.  
  63.         Open the properties of the file dselsa15.dll in your driver
  64.         directory with your File Manager or Explorer to read the version
  65.         string.
  66.  
  67. 1.1.2   Using the command 'PdVer'
  68.  
  69.         While AutoCAD is running with POWERdraft configured, you may
  70.         type the command 'PdVer'.
  71.  
  72. 1.1.3   Using POWERdraft Settings
  73.  
  74.         Open AutoCAD's Options dialog. The 'ELSA POWERdraft' tab holds
  75.         the current driver version.

  81.         The driver's setup directory contains the following files:

  87.         SETUP.EXE       Installation program for Windows

  92. 3       Installation/Uninstallation
  93.  
  94. 3.1     Prerequisites
  95.  
  96.         Please check the following list of requirements to allow
  97.         sucessful installation and usage of this driver.
  98.  
  99.         - an ELSA graphics controller supported by
  100.           POWERdraft for AutoCAD 2000
  101.           -> See the top of this README for a list of supported
  102.              graphics controller/operating systems.
  103.         - actual ELSA Windows display driver
  104.         - AutoCAD 2000 already installed
  105.         - write access to AutoCAD's main directory and to the Windows
  106.           system directory
  107.  
  108. 3.2     Procedure of Installation
  109.  
  110.         Please make sure AutoCAD 2000 is not running.
  111.  
  112.         * Installation from CD:
  113.           Start CDSETUP.EXE in the root directory of your WINNERware CD.
  114.           You can double click CDSETUP.EXE in the File Manager or
  115.           Windows Explorer.
  116.  
  117.         * Installation from floppy disk:
  118.           The POWERdraft installation set consists of several floppy
  119.           disks. Start SETUP.EXE from the first one. During installation
  120.           you will be requested to insert the other disks.
  121.  
  122.         * Installation from a separate directory:
  123.           The POWERdraft directory contains several subdirectories called
  124.           DISK<n>. Start SETUP.EXE in subdirectory DISK1.
  125.  
  126. 3.3     Uninstallation
  127.  
  128.         The install program records uninstall information in the
  129.         chosen program folder.
  130.

  133. 4       Configuration
  134.  
  135.         Setup will add the two icons
  136.                 'Configure POWERdraft'
  137.         and
  138.                 'Configure Original Driver'
  139.         to the program folder.
  140.         Using these icons you can configure either POWERdraft or the
  141.         original driver shipped with AutoCAD (Whip) as the AutoCAD's
  142.         actual display driver. After Setup has completed successfully,
  143.         POWERdraft is already configured.
  144.  
  145.         To reconfigure the original driver, click on the 'Configure
  146.         Original Driver' icon, while AutoCAD is _not_ running. To do so
  147.         for POWERdraft, click on the 'Configure POWERdraft' icon.
  148.  
  149.         If POWERdraft is configured, the ELSA POWERdraft logo will be
  150.         shown at AutoCAD's startup time.

  177.           using a display resolution, where software OpenGl is used.

  185.         - This version of POWERdraft does not include any 2D graphics
  186.           acceleration compared with the original display driver.

  188.         - This version does not support multi screen.
